Great Morning

If you're a "morning person" - and I know some of you aren't - this morning was picture perfect:  57 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

90% of our mornings were crystal clear when we lived in Malawi, with the temps being between 50 and 60 degrees.  I treasured those mornings.  They reminded me that even though...we might not have electricity...or water...or telephone service that day, even though...there might be a fuel shortage...or demonstrations...or a general strike - the beautiful mornings still came BECAUSE THE LORD WAS STILL IN CHARGE AND STILL LOVED ME!

Jeremiah, the "weeping prophet," the author of Lamentations took comfort in each new day as well:

We are still alive because
the LORD's faithful love never ends.
Every morning he shows it in new ways!
You are so very true and loyal!  Lamentations 2:22,23 in the Easy-To-Read translation

Outdoor Worship

You can end your day on a great note tonight as we begin OUTDOOR WORSHIP.  The weather is forecast to be partly cloudy and 72 degrees.

We'll be worshipping in the backyard of the parsonage (409 Main Street) at 6:30 PM.

You can enter via the path on the left side of the parsonage, or - if you want a flatter way - the back gate will be open as well.

We'll have an abbreviated liturgy, full sermon, and Holy Communion.

Some seating will be available, but we encourage you to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
